Part-II    Agro-Meteorological Advisory

Apple & Others

   

 

1.      For the leaf shedding in Scab affected apple plants spray 10 kg Urea per 200 liters of water. For the plantation of new orchards after selection of the site do layout for digging the pits within time.

 

2.      Remove the new growth from the root stocks in the temperate fruits plants. For plantation of new orchard dig the pits of one cubic meter dimensions.

 

3.      Where there was heavy crop of apple, after fruit harvesting within ten day spray 2kg Urea + 600 gm Copper Oxychloride per 200 liters of water. This spay will control the canker and make the plant strong.

 

4.      To control the Wooly Aphid spray EKTARA @ 200 gm per 200 liters of water. And if roots are affected by this insect then irrigate the plant basin with Chlorpyriphos 3 ml in 200 liters of water.

 

5.      Open the roots of the plants affected by root borer and kill all the grubs also irrigate the plant basin with the mixture of Chlorpyriphos 5 ml in 200 liters of water.

 

6.      Give packing of grass, gunny bags etc in apiaries.
